Please join the Clinton Land Conservation Trust in a coastal cleanup of Clinton Town Beach from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30th, 2018.
We will be meeting under the pavilion. This cleanup event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, which is coordinated in Connecticut by Save the Sound, a program of Connecticut Fund for the Environment. Volunteers are needed to pick up trash and collect data for the Ocean Conservancy, which will compile information from around the world and study it to learn more about the global debris problem, educate the public, and find solutions for stopping marine debris at its source. Closed toe shoes, work gloves, bug spray and drinking water are recommended.
To join the cleanup, please contact Kim Flanagan @ firstname.lastname@example.org, or just stop by. For more information about Save the Sound’s Coastal Cleanup program, please visit www.savethesound.org, or call Save the Sound’s Special Projects Coordinator, Chris Cryder at 203-787-0646 ext. 127.
A little help really does go a long way. Please give an hour or two of your time to help clean up our beautiful beach!! Hope to see you there.
